World Language

Griswold High School offers Spanish courses to students in grades 9-12, for beginners all the way up to Spanish V which focuses more on literacy and proficiency.

World Language Spanish courses explore the cultures and traditions of the Spanish language. If you are interested in the Day of the Dead celebration of life and learning a new language, then this is the place for you!

CT Seal of Biliteracy

Experienced students have the opportunity to take the Biliteracy test and earn the Biliteracy seal upon graduation.

Are you proficient in Spanish? Get the credit you deserve! Take the opportunity to earn the Connecticut Seal of Biliteracy by successfully completing the AAPPL test in the spring of your Junior or Senior year. This prestigious seal will be adorned on your diploma and will also be recorded on your transcript. The CT Seal of Biliteracy test is offered to Juniors and Seniors after successful completion of Spanish I, II and III.
